Today I read a story...
Of how someone who was either given a dog or went out and adopted a dog (which wasn’t much more than a six month old puppy) that was abandoned in an apartment from which he moved.
This little precious fur baby was without water or food for at least 2-3 days before the neighbor went to check on him. She thought the renter might be back to get the puppy even though he had been evicted.
She went in and found he had no water or food and was left on the balcony. Even though she had a fur baby, she went in to feed and found this baby was so thirsty. She would’ve been willing to adopt him when she could get him neutered as her baby wasn’t spade.

She also said there was no reason to bring more babies into this world when there are so many babies who need a home.
Even though she didn’t need another baby, she would take him in because the animal control officer advised her the puppy would probably be put down since “there was no room at the inn.” Even though she was looking for a home for him, she would’ve been willing to take him when wonderful people in the Universe were willing to donate to Cano’s “baby things, (i.e. leash, harness, crate, and even possibly money to get him neutered), as she didn’t have these.
The animal control officer was nice in the sense she gave this lady a week to find a solution.
When people are educated and have the true information, including the cost and care of a precious fur baby, perhaps the previous “pseudo” pet parent would have not taken Cano just to abandon him.
